Week 5 Recap – Jets @ Falcons: J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS!

Folk kicked the game winning Field Goal from 44 yards out as time expired topping the Falcons 30-28 on Monday Night Football. On a side note Jets head coach lost some mad weight. He looks great! Back to the game. Coming into the game Jets rookie Smith has 8 interceptions and 4 touchdown passes. On the prime time stage the rookie threw zero interceptions and three touchdown passes on 196 yards passing making 15 completions on 19 passing attempts. Cumberland caught 3 passes for 79 yards and a touchdown reception. Goodson ran the ball 3 times for 32 yards.

No team in the current division format of the NFC South witch was started in 2002 has ever repeated as division champions. That myth has yet to be broken as the Falcons have gotten off to a bad start. Matt Ryan’s numbers wasn’t that bad going 36 of 45 for 319 yards passing for 2 touchdown passes. Jones and White combined for 12 catches for 144 yards receiving. Neither had a touchdown pass in the game. White left the game with a hamstring injury. Rodgers ran the ball 14 times for 43 yards and 2 touchdown rushes.

The 3-2 Jets will “FLY” home just so they can host the Steelers next week. The 1-4 Falcons will stay home. They have a much needed BYE week.
