Week 5 Recap – Panthers @ Cardinals: Red birds over the big cat

Cardinals fans went home happy has they saw there home team get a win over the Panthers 22-6. The former Bengal and Raider Carson Palmer went 19 of 28 for 175 yards passing, one touchdown and three interceptions. Floyd had 5 catches for 61 yards. Ellington and Mendenhall had a combined 24 carries for 95 yards. Mendenhall had the rushing touchdown.

Cam Newton had more passing yards than Palmer and lost the game. The Panther quarterback had 308 yards passing going 21 of 39 in passing attempts with three interceptions himself. Williams ran the ball 12 times for 39 yards. Olsen caught 5 passes for 79 yards. Defensively Kuechly had 9 tackles and caught one of  Carson Palmer’s passes.

The 1-3 Panthers next stop will at the Vikings.  The 3-2 Cardinals will visit the conference champions 49ers.
