Week 5 Recap – Eagles @ Giants: Eli, Eli, Eli

Both teams are under 500. One starting quarterback did finish the game. The other starting quarterback should have not finished the game but did. Mike Vick had hamstring issues late in the 2nd quarterback. He did not return to the game. The Eagles back up QB held it down though. Nick Foles went 16-25 for 197 yards with 2 touchdowns passes. The Eagles are one game under 500 yet tied for 1st place in the NFC East.

At this point, nobody on the Giants football team needs a bye week more than Eli Manning. This guy now leads the league in interception thrown.  Manning had 12 picks coming into the game. He had threw 3 passes to the Eagles in the game. If you wanna call this good news, the Giants QB threw two TD passes, had 334 yards in the air, and completing nearly half of his passes going 24 of 52. New York tried to make a come back but simply failed as the final score was 36-21 Eagles.

Next stop on the 2-3 Eagles road trip will be at the Buccaneers, as the 0-5 Giants will try not to lose visiting the Bears.
