Week 5 Recap – Broncos @ Cowboys – Good offense or bad defense?

Up to this point, this Manning/Romo match up is the game of the year. A grand total of 920 yard passing between Manning and Romo. The Broncos won this shoot out over the Cowboys 51-48. The quarterback I like to call the “Human Robot” Payton Manning threw his 19th touchdown pass of the season witch is the most through 5 games in NFL history. The human robot was silly on the stat line going 33 of 42 for 414 yards and 4 touchdown passes. He had his first rushing touchdown since 10-27-08. The only negative note was the Broncos QB threw his first interception of the season.

Yes the Cowboys lost the game, but Tony Romo won the quarterback battle against Manning. Romo went 25 of 36  on 506 yards (more than Manning) with five touchdown passes on the day (more than Manning too). For all the Cowboys/Romo haters, he had one interception. Back to the positive stuff, the 506 yards passing mark was the first of Romo’s career.

It is not fair that the 5-0 Broncos will play the Jaguars at home next week, but that is what is going to happen. The 2-3 Cowboys will be in “Jerry’s World” (in other words they are playing at home) next week for an NFC East showdown against the Redskins.
